Wow, so many of us have been fans for such a long time. I was 16 in '74 visiting my grandmother in Oroville. A boy I knew put on Back to Oakland. I
played trombone in school (still do), but got nourishment from Chicago, BST, EWF, etc. But, Tower changed me. I live in Greenville, SC and
they hardly EVER get to the Southeast. We have a great club called The Handlebar and TOP just happened to be passing through a number of years ago on their way
to somewhere else. I waited close to 30 years to see them. When Larry Braggs came out, he looked out and asked if it was a mens convention or something. The
place was filled with musicians from all over but it was mostly guys! They still put on a fantastic show. I actually got Larry, Dave, Rocco, and
Doc's autograph. Felt a little weird, but I couldn't help it!
I did see the horns playing with Huey Lewis at Clemson Univ. about 20 years ago with my wife-to-be and some of her co-workers...I didn't even know they
were playing with Huey. My group was all up dancing, but I just sat and absorbed. They asked if I was okay. I dipped my head. They had no idea!
I really need to see them again before I die. I believe salvation comes from God, but He just may have sent Emilio, Doc, and the gang to give us our much
needed injections. If they don't get down here soon, I'll just have to go where they are.
George
