Thank for your kind thoughts. I'm really glad to hear TOP is alright and out of danger from Japan. What a mess. Take heed and watch out the big one is coming.

We miss him a lot. I especially liked his R & B. I've got much of his early stuff on various formats. He really developed his talent over the years. He started out on a silvertone our father bought him about 1962. Which he quickly thought was a bad idea, Frank had to hide it from him so he wouldn't throw it out. I remember our dad running after Frank with a large old style hand saw threatening to cut his hair off because he wouldn't get a haircut. Too many memories but cherished ones.

I have those blues CD's you mention. I thought they were all well done and I like them a lot. It would have been nice if he had the time to do a strictly R & B project. I think there was no other singer who could scream quite as well as Frank except for the GFOS. I'm pretty sure if it is possible James Brown and Frank are jammin'.

You know David Bartlett was a good friend. I only knew him for a short time but we did a lot of hanging in that short time. He passed away way too early. He is also missed.

If you get the chance, could you say hi and send love to Doc, Mimi, Greg, and Mic. I hung with those guys a for a couple of summer and winter breaks back in the mid 1970's. I sat in on probably a 6-7 writing sessions with Doc and Frank at Doc's home in the Oakland hills and above the city lights. Those were really special times. They hold very special memories for me.

I was wondering if you knew how to get in touch with Doc directly by email, etc. I see TOP is coming to Chicago in May. It would be nice to catch up with some of the guys when they are in town next time. It has been a really long time.
