Installation

Install the plug-in using the following step-by-step process:

If you have a previous version of the Tapatalk plugin installed on your site, to install the latest Tapatalk plugin, you'll need to uninstall the older version plugin and delete it then follow the installation process to do a fresh installation

AutoMod Installation
  • Go to https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/official_tool/automod/, download latest AutoMod package to your computer.


  • Unzip the AutoMod package, you should see the folder structure as below.


  • Upload all the contents under 'root' folder to your forum system root directory. For example, if your forum URL is http://www.mysite.com/forum, your mobiquo folder should be at the address http://www.mysite.com/forum/mobiquo/. Overwrite folders when uploading them by FTP client.

  • Run the install script. For example, if your forum URL is http://www.mysite.com/forum, you need to open http://www.mysite.com/forum/install in your browser to run the install script.

  • Make sure 'Install' is selected for 'Action', 'Ignore' is selected for 'Version Select'. Click 'Submit'


  • Click 'Yes' to confirm the installation.


  • AutoMod has been successfully installed in your forum now. Ignore the warning.


Installation with Push Notification Support
  • Push Notification Support in phpBB requires installation of AutoMod as pre-requisite.

  • Login to forum Admin CP and switch to 'AUTOMOD' tab. In 'Upload MOD' section, browse to latest Tapatalk plugin and click 'Upload'.


  • In 'No installed MODs detected' section, you'll see the Tapatalk in list, click 'Install' to continue.


  • Ignore the warning, as 3.0.x matches 3.0.12, click 'Install' to continue.


  • Normally it will be done here with New files creation and system files updating. However external installation is required and please click the highlight link to continue.


  • In external installation page, just click 'Submit' to continue.


  • Click 'Yes' to continue.


  • Installation is done here, you can click 'Admin index' link to top right to return to Admin CP.


  • You'll get a .MODS tab when you did not have any other mod installed with AUTOMOD. Tapatalk settings is located in this tab. Make sure you set up the 'Tapatalk API Key', and you can find the key in Tapatalk forum owner area in your forum section.



  • Download the zip package of Tapatalk Plugin for phpBB to your computer.
  • Unzip the package. You should see two folders ('mobiquo' and 'ext').
  • Upload the entire 'mobiquo' and 'ext' folder to your forum system root directory. For example, if your forum URL is http://www.mysite.com/forum, your mobiquo folder should be at the address http://www.mysite.com/forum/mobiquo/.
  • Login to AdminCP, go to 'CUSTOMISE' click 'Manage extensions',then find the Tapatalk Plugin in 'Disabled Extensions' section, click 'Enable'.
  • Confirm the installation, click 'Enable'.
